I thought the new rule is that we all believe the female rape accuser all the time because, just as blacks can't be racists, female accusers can't be liars.
Besides which Parker seems to have a thing for white women which immediately makes him suspect.

  2. Sherri Patterson on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

Please for the ones of us who are intelligent and don't use colloquialism to define body parts, please stick to your intellect. I can follow you much better.

  3. Missy Chambers on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

We're talking about it now because his publicist at Fox thought it would be a good idea to get him ahead of the story. Smh.

  4. Greg NYT on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

Your assessment of Feminism is 100% accurate.

  5. SistahGurl321 on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

They're talking about it now because Nate Parker did interviews discussing the issue as a proactive step to combat the issue being put out and it of course backfired. Hence, all the backlash…

  6. gakembu1981 on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

after all the movies that nat parker made. How come this issue never came up then. It's okay to make films about white people enslaving blacks, but its wrong to see a film about blacks revolting??? the same thing happened to denzel when he made cry freedom in the 80's. He had death threats, thats why they did it in Zimbabwe instead of southafrica. Once again the MAN is trying to slander a good man.

  8. poboy79403 on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

It may be more to it than a publicity stunt. It could be a plot not just to destroy his image but, black people's image. We black americans have been, and still til this very day have been fooled by slight of hand. Just like the deal with Bill Cosby. Nothing about the decision to take anything is right. But waiting more than a decade to address the issue of something being took away from you is just as wrong.

This is standard Operating Procesdure. If they can discredit the messenger they discredit the message. This includes the fact that he has a white wife. This story has been out there for one or one hundred fifty years. He picked it up and DID it so those that cannot support the movie for those reasons are doing what they want you to do and not go see the movie.
This is exactly what they are doing to Pres Obama. They deny him victory at every turn and then blame him for not doing a better job with the economy.
Put the messenger aside go see the movie and then next time you pick up the story and do it.

Thank you for expressing your views against the term bed wench. That is a strong, disrespectful term that is used way too loosely.

  13. Michael Collins on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

Rape has always been used to assassinate Black Men in a white world.

  14. lnl self on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

  16. BON JOVI on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

Dr Watkins I wish you would go to (TO THE CONTRARY)- Nate Parker -and see what those women are saying. 2 of them black. One white woman made sense. They're awful.. Feminist or something. And read my post at the top if they haven't deleted me yet.

  17. BON JOVI on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

In the late 70s Cosby hosted the Tonight Show for Johnny Carson. Connie Stevens his guess kept responding to his question about a trip they made. She kept saying all I remember is that you kept hitting on me the whole trip. But she's not out trying to rob him.

  20. BON JOVI on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

What are you blabbering about? Tyson was lynched by Gloria Allred & the Feminist cunts. You had good peoples for Mike & good peoples against him. A rarity in America. Usually all good is on one side & and all bad peoples the other. Like O J Simpson. I was agin OJ at first. But changed sides after the evidence. And I was on Tyson's side. He was lynched by the cunt mob. And now he joins the master Lynchman, Donald Drumpf. Who lynched the Central Park logger five. For (15) yrs. He spent 100s of thousands. Calling for reinstatement of the death penalty. For black victims, of dirty white girls. I don't believe Tyson really Trumps for Drumpf. Like many others, He's faking it.

  21. BON JOVI on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

Michael Eric Dyson the smartest man on the planet, yours truly excepted, attacked Bill Cosby. The goodest man on the planet. Wrote a book. (IS BILL COSBY RIGHT?) Of course he was right. He was the onliest colored man to speak out against niggerism when it began. The only one. Now the proudest, most envied most emulated peoples on the planet, has become the most regaled. And now all our businesses have been hijacked.

  22. Michael Collins on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

I'm not concerned about what happen 17yrs ago if it was adjudicated in court and not found guilty. My concern is who was the person the put this rape story out there to disrupt this man movie. I know someone White did it, now they have invalidated the victim's tragedy. White folks are taking the validation or value away from "Rape" victims by using them to falsely accuse damage people's lives.

  23. Kimonimo Battazzello on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

no one talks about all the pedophile shit of Woody Allan, but Nate in his college years is somehow important.

  24. John Burns on February 3, 2017 at 4:55 am

This Rape thing coming out now is to destroy Nate Parker's ability to make money.
BUT, after looking at Nate Parker on 60 Minutes, this is what was perceived.
    1. Nate Parker had a prior relationship with the Rape Victim.
    2. Nate Parker had a sexual relationship with this woman and when he finished, he invited his friend to get some, if you will.
    3. The woman may have been under the influence of alcohol and didn't realize, until it was too late, what was happening. In other words, Nate Parker disrespected her by allowing his friend to have sex with her.
    4. Rape charges were filed because the woman did not consent to Nate Parker's friend having sex with her.
    5. Nate Parker most likely did not rape the woman, however, if Nate Parker invited his friend to have sex with her, he took advantage of the woman due to her inability to stop the sex act with his friend.
    6. The woman commits suicide because no one believes her story.
    7. Nate Parker may not have raped the woman, but he can't avoid his own guilt because he was directly involved in violating her rights, by allowing his friend to have sex with her while she was incapacitated. In my opinion.
So basically, the "Chickens Have Come Home To Roost" for Nate Parker's involvement in this woman's rights being violated.

The real lessons and questions in this is, how would you feel if your daughter, granddaughter or mother was taken advantage of, when a man she was having a sexual relation decided to have his friend jump in without her consent.

Nate Parker knows the Truth and has to live with the Truth and the Death of woman, regardless to her race, creed, or color. Take Nate in a room one on one and ask for the Truth. Hotep

You cant revisit birth of a nation and not expect white folks to unearth your past. This formula ain't new, and this brother needs to get a better PR team.
